Shadows? What Shadows?
Happy Groundhogs Day.
If you're a betting man, here are the odds of what the ole groundhog will see. Personally, i get more of a kick out watching the movie of the same name. Bill Murray rocked and Andi McDowell was SMOKIN....
It used to be that Media Day for the Super Bowl was a gathering of intelligent beat writers, reporters, and ex-athletes on assignment. In the last 15 years, you can really see just how much of a spectacle it has become. Think WWE meets Jerry Springer, a little T and A and you get the picture. If you think it's tough to get past the distractions, now add the Miami nightlife to the equation. I'd hate to be a coach this week.
Once again trouble on the road for the Mavericks as they fall into a 3 game skein for the 1st time in 13 months. It has been three years since Dallas got a road win in Mormon land. Utah did not have the services of Carlos Boozer.
An 11-2 run by the Jazz and expert play by Andre Kirilenko sealed the fate of the Mavericks. They now return home with home games against the Warriors and the T-Wolves starting tomorrow. I will be there Friday night.
Received some awesome books from Mom in the mail yesterday. How she finds them I'll never know. Three great baseball books. One a factoid booklet with over 5,000 bits of info. The other 2 are bios. Oh, the fun I will have reading those booklets. This on the heels of a great bio on Frank Leahy I just completed. Good times.

Rain returns to North Texas tomorrow. Now to get my sunshine fix before hopping aboard the River ride for a Tuesday night. Stars will try to right the ship with a win over the Wild.
Make it a great day!
Over and out in Big D
