Not Quite East Coast...

The pellets of rain turned to snow at 2:46am here in Arlington. Here we are about 12 hours later and it looks like there are about 3-4 inches of snow on the ground. That total might continue to escalate. We continue to hover right around 33-34 degrees. Driving may take some time but the freeze effect won't begin until the snow stops and the winds decide to provide some road shine... Of course our weather is a minute drop in the bucket compared to what the East Coast is now getting...

There is something about watching the snow fall in Texas that makes people say, 'Does that really happen in the Lone Star State?' That answer an emphatic YES! People still have no clue how to drive in the stuff. Especially around the Toll ways...

We are to get warmer weather come Friday. This might not stay long. I was hoping for the Valentines Day snowstorm we had in 2004. Otherwise the worst weather day I have encountered was 2/24/03. That storm was so deadly that big assed pieces of ice stuck around for 72 hours.

Trying to remember the last time if ever that Fat Tuesday fell on the 3rd Tuesday of the month? In terms of where you spend your money, do you do an even dispersal for the Valentines Day dinner and then go the Fat Route? Or do you go Fat if single, and V.D if you are committed?

Added to that dynamic is where do you place your viewership priorities? NBA All-Star Game? Daytona? The Vancouver Olympics? Or something other than? It used to be that all sports were spread out so that you could prep for each season. No more...

Be safe out there in North Texas and the Northeast.

Over and out in Big D

Mr. Will
