Miller Time?

Slowly winding down a fast and furious Saturday Night in North Texas soaking up some fine musical noise, courtesy of Hearsay and Limelight and marvelling at what I just witnessed on the big screen.

I erroneously commented on a numerical total with regards to Kobe Bryant when he scorched the Mavericks for 60 points. I had said 81, yet my sentiment was the same. In a very poor display of defense a young Trail Blazer who normally averages 14 points a game this night EXPLODED for 52 in an overtime win here at the AAC. 

I watched this same Portland team do the same hoodoo voodoo two months ago when they were last here. That night they also suffered a painful injury to a valued starter. Yet the Blazers persevere and find a way to win. My question remains: Who is this Miller guy? Where did this come from? Damn! As you can imagine Rick Carlisle did not take this sitting down.

While I'm at it, has anyone noticed how much of a force Mike Modano has been since his All-Star snub from Vancouver. By my count 6 points in 9 games. Shades of the Mike of old circa 1999. May he continue the good juju.

Looking forward to 2 days off and a return trip to the AAC with camera in tow.
